CHAPTER 1. I pulled into the parking lot and looked for my parking spot. I found it empty, still near the trees, and drove towards it.  Wow, I thought, at least this day won't totally suck.  I was rounding the east corner to get to my spot when a blue convertible revved it's engine and sped around the west corner.
